Community Cooling Stations for Hot Summer Days

Install five shaded, mist-equipped cooling stations in parks and high-traffic pedestrian areas across Harborview to help residents stay safe during extreme heat. Each station includes seating, mist sprayers; drinking water access, and solar-powered lighting. Locations were prioritized based on resident feedback and the city's heat vulnerability index. This project supports seniors, children, and outdoor workers most affected by rising summer temperatures.
